Highly recommended
This is an excellent film depicting the way Syria's water crisis is affecting the country's millions of residents.
The film's strongest point is the beauty of its cinematography. Coupled with the emotive music, the film seems to be more of a work of art than a documentary.
The film illustrates the way Syrians, who for many years have been disaffected by their government, are now taking steps to ameliorate their environment. In this way, it appeals to people of all countries and inspires the viewer to take action.
For environmentalists, Islamophiles, or those interested in the art of documentary filmmaking, this film is a hidden treasure waiting to be opened.
Excellent Documentary
As a graduate of a public health program, I was extremely impressed with this documentary. Sama skillfully presented environmental issues and raised awareness about the Syrian water crisis in an entertaining and informative way. I laughed many times during the documentary! I loved the music and the interviews. Thank you Sama for taking us with you on your journey.
A beautiful, thought provoking film!
The images in this film still lingered in my mind upon waking the morning after watching it. That is always a sign to me that a film has depth and power. Sama Wareh's playful irreverence combined with her deep respect for the earth and all things that matter have the potential to create a paradigm shift in the issues which she brings to the awareness of others. This beautiful and thought provoking documentary should not be missed. It somehow manages to be serious and heartwarming all at the same time - a combination that has the power to mobilize action and change.
