Labeled as the 'worst humanitarian disaster since the cold war' by the United Nations, Syria's ongoing war birthed over 3 million refugees, 1 million of which are seeking refuge in Lebanon. In a sea of problems, one of the largest is Syrian refugees' lack of education.
350 Birds of Hope highlights the journey of Sama Wareh, a Syrian-American artist and humanitarian, as she ventures into the heart of the education plight in Lebanon to start an art therapy program- only to discover that a school needed to be established first. Filmed in Tripoli, Lebanon, this documentary examines the critical role that art therapy has on Syrian children of war and the steps involved in creating a successful program. 30 minutes |
